SEMEN TRANSPORT & BREEDING CONTRACT
Morgan stallion “SUITE AFTER” No.00111680 (Wham Bam Command x Townshend Donnachimes) This contract is for the breeding season 2006.
Stallion standing at: NORTHGATE STABLES, acting as agents for John Surprenant and Charlene McCarthy, hereinafter referred to as STALLION OWNERS.

THIS CONTRACT COVERS; Mare:______________________________________________Reg#______________________ Sire:_________________________________________Dam:____________________________ The MARE OWNER AND STALLION OWNERS agree to the following conditions. The breeding fee of $2,500.00 to be paid as follows. $500.00 booking fee to accompany this signed contract. $1250.00 to be paid before mare arrives for breeding or prior to shipping semen. $750.00balance to be paid no later than sixty days after last breeding date. All collection fees, shipment fees and mare care (if applies) to be paid in full. Before the foal resulting from this breeding can be registered, all monies must be paid in full.

The designated veterinarian must examine the mare prior to the first shipment of semen and certify that the mare is free of infection and in good breeding condition. The written results of a uterine culture are to be forwarded to Northgate Stables. MARE OWNER shall pay $250.00 per semen collection, payable to Northgate Stables. The MARE OWNER is responsible for returning the Equitainer to Northgate Stables as soon as the mare has been inseminated. Collections occur Monday thru Friday. Northgate Stables must be notified by 12:00noon Eastern Time, on day of collection. No same day shipping available. All parties agree that semen shipped under this contract will be used only for inseminating the mare named above. Northgate Stables assumes responsibility only to deliver live semen in viable condition at the time of delivery to the MARE OWNER. The designated veterinarian must inseminate the semen on the day of delivery. The MARE OWNER assumes all responsibility for the condition of the mare and bears all risk of loss or damage to the mare whether by death, disease, infection or otherwise and therefore agrees to hold Northgate Stables ( and any person employed by or associated with Northgate Stables) and the stallion owners, harmless for any and all damages associated therewith. The designated veterinarian must examine the mare for pregnancy no later than 55 days after the last breeding date. Mare care at Northgate Stables is $15.00 @day for mare, $18.00 @day for mare w/foal. Mare care to be paid monthly. Northgate Stables shall exercise reasonable care for the breeding and health of the mare (and foal) but shall not be held responsible for the death or injury to the mare (and foal). Mare must arrive with current neg. coggins, and all vaccinations current. Insurance for the mare (and foal) if any, is the mare owners responsibility. Should the above mare prove to be barren, abort, or the foal unable to stand and nurse, the MARE OWNER has the option to re-breed the mare under the same terms of this contract. In the event the stallion dies or becomes unable to breed, the MARE OWNER may chose any other stallion owned by John Surprenant and Charlene McCarthy. The breeding season begins February 1st and ends July 31st. The breeder guarantees to the mare owner a live foal, defined as a foal that stands and nurses at three days of age. If the mare does not produce a live foal after the first breeding season, the mare owner may breed the mare back the following year. In the unlikely event that the mare owner does not have a live foal after the second year, the mare owner may breed a third year. This will be the final year guaranteed to the mare owner. The breeding fee will not be refunded but every effort possible will be made to assist the mare owner to obtain a live foal. “ALL PAYMENTS SHALL BE MADE PROMPTLY” Upon signing this contract, it will be binding on all parties, subject to the above terms and conditions.
